Photography

I would like to blog regularly about all aspects of my current videography work and about the other projects like photography. My passion is documenting peoples lives so that probably will be my main focus. But I find inspiration every where I go and I capture it as I see it. I'm learning all the time :)

Our bodies, apart from their brilliant role as drawing exercises, are the temples of our being.Like the bodies of all fauna, they deserve both our study and our appreciation.
Robert Genn

In modern world women are not ashamed to show off their very private parts in public. Nevertheless they enjoy it. It's like a competition. Who's got bigger cleavage or backside, thinner waist, mermaid thighs or bigger gap between them! Women bodies are treated with no respect at all.
As history shows us our physiques were always objectified, but at present it's not only men who do that but women as well. And I would say that it's a vast percentage of females than males.  That’s how I see it and I just can't believe it.
And saying that one might think why are you doing nude photography? You are a big phony! I think there's a big difference here. I want to document a woman who is herself in the most intimate state, for the essence of admiring her inner and outer beauty, for her courage, and mainly for her trusting me and letting me in. The goal is not to show someone who has a wish to arouse men or make other women jealous of their bodies. This is like sickness, which is spreading around us, and more women are suffering emotional breakdowns. Women have different backgrounds and shapes and that’s the beauty of it! My intention is not to pick one that's the thinnest and shaped by social media because that’s how they frame beauty! Who are those people to decide what is beautiful and what is not?!
I always thought that women's body is the most stunning creation in the whole world. The way it’s designed and structured it's just pure magnificence. It's only up to us if we're going to take a good care of it and nurture it or we're just going to junk it up from inside out.
When I saw nudes of Manet, Renoir, Monet, Goya, Gauguin, Picasso and many more for the first time I felt like someone's put a spell on me. I didn't feel embarrassed looking at those portraits. I admired them for capturing not only the naked body of the models but their souls too. It is so precious when someone can be themselves in such an intimate situation. I wanted to become a painter but unfortunately the universe decided not to grant me with this gift. Now I can do it using photography, which gives me a sense of contentment and makes me feel a little bit like an artist.
I was given a chance to work with gorgeous Selina. She kindly abolished the veil  and invited me to her intimate world. I’m very grateful for that Selina!

Four generations of my family and walking paths.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

It was my first Christmas with my family after 11 years of my immigration to the UK. I went back to my birth place to celebrate this holiday season with my folks even though I do not particularly like it. Im more like a Grinch hehe. And believe it or not I have good reasons for it.
Frankly I think that nowadays the whole generations of people forget what Christmas is really about. Everybody mostly focuses on running around shopping centres doing premature Christmas shopping. And some people do that almost a year ahead! Shops and restaurants and any retail places hang all the decorations months before. It is out of control what is going on now!
But for me it was a time to reunite with my loved ones at this special time. And after a decade of skipping it I think I made a great choice. Well to be honest I got surprised by my friend who bought me a plane ticket as a Christmas present!

So I flew...of course with my camera :) And I just documented the four generations of my family, as well as some places I usually visit when I go for a walk in my home town. But please be advise that you will not find any red and green Christmassy scenes here.

Isabelle
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Couple of weeks ago I had a great opportunity to do a photoshoot with a new born baby girl.
I would like you to meet Isabelle, 6 days old tinny tiny model. She was a true star and for a session that lasted over two hours she behaved incredibly calm.
It was an exceptional acquaintance to work with this sweet girl and her parents. Although I dealt with small babies quite a lot to be frank I was entirely nervous about it. It is a completely different experience when you have to handle a baby that you're gonna see for the first time and to photograph them. It was well worth it and I can honestly say that it was quite an enjoyment for me.
Babies are incredibly sensitive and react very quickly to everything that surrounds them. They can be like chameleons, they can sense your mood and feel exactly the same. I love how they smell, what sound they make and how peacefully they breath. Babies are so pure and this make them all so special.
We had few accidents with number 1 and 2 but it just made us lough a lot. One of these moments is captured in one of the pictures.
It was a great pleasure to be there. I wanted to thank Isabelle 's parents for letting me into their habitat in such an important moment of their life's and giving  me an opportunity to document it. Big thank you to you both and all the best to your new family.
Here you can find more pictures of sweet Isabelle.

Venezia
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Last year in November I traveled to Venice with my friend to celebrate my birthday.
I've been blessed with a great accompany during my voyage.
It was just an astonishing and extraordinary experience.
We've been there for 3 days and although we've been walking all days still haven't seen half of it.
After dawn when we were walking in those tinted narrow streets my eyes were following shadows on the walls and pavements and my imagination was kicking in.
I visualised inhabitants from previous centuries who were leaving there doing their ordinary daily routines.
I even pictured in my head how I'm attacked by a vampire and the transformation into one of them. Crazy!
It was like using a time machine walking the streets of Venice. Even though people are wearing all those fancy modern clothes and have all those technical gadgets I had a feeling like time just stopped over there.
It was a genuine and outstanding encounter for me. If you would like to join me on my magical journey to Venezia please visit my website for more pictures.

How we can measure our strength and what are our limitations. Is it measurable at all?
Can we classify those abilities and sort them in groups accordingly to the exact situations in our lives or is it the same for everything.
What defines us as human beings?
Which virtues differs us from animals.
Or perhaps maybe which one identify us with them.
Weather we want or not we are constantly learning through our whole life. And it’s entirely up to us what will happen with that knowledge and how our life will unfold. Will it grow and blossom or it will drain for us.
From the moment we open our eyes till we close them, it’s just there waiting to be explore…
As much as I’m repulsed by some of human actions I’m still interested in what drives us to do things in certain manners. Why we react in some ways that according to other human beings might be odd.
Each one of us is unique and there is no other being like ourselves but most of the time we not recognise that and we do everything to fit with the rest of the world. All those nuances like 'should I do it' or behave like that or 'shouldn’t I'.  Where is it coming from and who creates those rules? One would ask why.
Well, just simply because we haven’t discovered our true natures, what we truly need and how much love we carry inside us.
It is quite hard for me to express my thoughts in verses therefore I chose to do this by still and moving pictures. Funny because usually I’m going around and subsequently I’m loosing myself in all those disputes, furthermore I discover that I’m out of track.
I love to observe peoples’ lives because there is always a story to tell… Most of the time ordinary is truly extraordinary. We just have to sit back open our eyes and ears and prepare to be staggered...

I just wanted to share with you my latest pictures I took while making my new documentary “Stefan”. Please stay tuned for another story…

Liz

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm currently working on my new documentary film about Liz. I discovered some time ago that I'm quite fascinated by unconventional portraits of people faces using very close angle.
I find opportunity to  make some of them while shooting my movie. Here are some examples of my first portraits...

Please have a look at my website where you can find more portraits of Liz.
